Turn Your Dreams Into Reality Part 3 - Goals and the Learning Experience
By James Emery Vigh of profbruno.com
In parts 1 and 2, I talked about having a dream, and then identifying the "what" that you could do to begin turning that dream into reality. Every successful person will tell you that in order to structure your "what" into real action, you will have to set goals. Goals could be deadlines to perform certain necessary acts by a certain time, but are often associated with a series of steps that have to be performed to get from the beginning to the end of the process. One of the challenges is to correctly identify these steps, and these steps should be WRITTEN DOWN. Goals can be pursued concurrently, or one at a time. You will need to determine how you are going to proceed with this, but what you don't ever want to do is to be impatient and try to rush your way through. The attaining of any one particular goal, or stepping stone in the process will often provide you with a "learning experience". These learning experiences may be temporary failures that will force you to make course corrections in your process. Being impatient here may cause you to make irrational or even fatal business decisions, or may cause you to lose heart and give up. This would be bad. Thomas Edison once said that many people give up never realizing how close they were to success. So, in pursuing your individual goals, pay attention to what your failures are telling you and make the course corrections needed to put you back on track. Also keep in mind that your written down goal list may have to be altered or added to as part of the "learning experience". Set goals and welcome the "learning experience". The list of goals provides you with your ladder for success. Don't fear the "learning experience" -it may keep you on the ladder.

I can attest to the fact that Writing Down Goals and checking your progress is very vital to success. Many people are afraid of ridicule, so try many things without a track to follow. Follow your dreams, lay down your track and only change direction when your track isn't taking you where you want to go. Great intel. Frederick
